Clive - funny or weird?
When I made the head for this piece, it was intended to be a Santa figure. Somehow, he refused to wear a beard or hat. He smiled away at me and eventually became this bust. He's created with needle felted wool fibre. I was very pleased with the degree of realism I had acheived. It's something I'm striving for with my recent needle felting work.
Clive, as I called him, received varying reactions at the studio tour. Any reaction is a good reaction, but I was surpirsed by those who found him leering, lascivious or scray! What's your reaction?
I welcome your comments.

West End Studio Tour

The West End Studio tour is over and I am pleased to say I made some sales! That's a great feeling.
This guy is the "Pied Piper and his familiar." It is a needle felted piece. The cat was great fun to do. He was the piece I selected to go to the Wall Space Gallery for our group show. They really did a great job promoting the tour and setting up the show. We had our opening vernissage at the gallery.
As a result of the tour, I met a woman who has invited me to show at her gallery this summer. How cool is that? The gallery is the Stone School Gallery in Portage du Fort.,QC. The theme will be "Once Upon a Time." Very appropos for my work, don't you think?
